Kamut Flour

Certified Organic Kamut® Flour: Kamut® (Triticum turanicum), is one of my favourite flavours that is a high-energy wheat. The exact origins of this grain are not known to this day, but it is supposed to originate from Egypt where this grain was found in an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh’s tomb and cultivated later by a farmer. Its nickname is: “King Tut’s Wheat.” It is a larger, longer grain with an orange tinge, is known for its slightly nutty flavour and has a higher nutritional value than Durum wheat. Although it is related to wheat, many people with wheat allergies can tolerate this grain, and it has become known as “the wheat you can eat”. Kamut® is easy to digest and contains Vitamins (B1,B2, E, and niacin), and minerals (magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, and selenium). Kamut has 30-40% more protein than wheat, hence it is more satisfying and filling than wheat.
